In a recent survey done by Travel + Leisure Magazine, New Orleans was ranked second best city in the country. However, let’s be honest, this only confirms what we’ve always known in our hearts, that New Orleans is one of the best places on earth.

You’re probably wondering what exactly won us this great title. Was it our killer music scene, friendly nature, fabulous parties, rich history or maybe the spectacular, makes-you-salivate-just-thinking-about-it food? It was actually based off of the city as a whole package.

Travel + Leisure readers filled out the survey and cities were ranked best by sights/landmarks, culture, food, friendliness, shopping, and value. I think we can all agree, it was an easy win.

On top of that, New Orleans was also ranked seventh best city in the world. Congrats New Orleans on being awesome!
