New Orleans Opera Presents Puccini’s Tosca 

The New Orleans Opera brings Giacomo Puccini’s masterpiece, Tosca, to the stage. Set against the backdrop of political turmoil in Rome, Tosca is a dramatic tale of love, betrayal and ultimate sacrifice. With two performance dates and opportunities to engage the community, the production promises to be a standout in the opera’s season lineup.

Both shows will be staged at the Mahalia Jackson Theater, with a special educational Nuts and Bolts lecture preceding each performance to offer audiences a deeper understanding of the story and music.

This production features a stellar lineup of performers, including:

For students and educators, the Student Night Out will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. This free event is an opportunity for young audiences to experience Tosca in its final dress rehearsal.
