Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, known for its events and immersive location-based entertainment experiences, recently announced the return of New Orleans’ Halloween attraction, New Orleans Nightmare. This season will commence on Friday, September 22, and remain open on select nights until Saturday, November 4. Formerly recognized as House of Shock, this long-standing haunted tradition aims to provide a unique journey for those who enter.
“New Orleans Nightmare returns with three entirely new themes and a handful of surprises that will demonstrate why New Orleans is renowned as America’s most haunted city and the ultimate Halloween destination,” said Chris Stafford, CEO and founding Partner. “We can’t wait to welcome you back!”
This year’s event’s attendees can anticipate three attraction themes: The Deadlands, Repossessed and Midnight Mortuary: Blood Ritual. With revamped storylines and maze routes, this year’s experience is designed to keep visitors on edge. Guests can also opt for additional experiences, including Mini Escape Games, Phobia and the newly introduced Shot In The Dark secret bar. Bar 13 will return, offering cocktails for guests aged 21 and over before and after their time in the attractions. In addition, numerous local food trucks will be on-site. The season will conclude with the notorious “Blackout” event on November 4, where attendees can navigate the haunted house in complete darkness, guided solely by a glow stick.
Tickets are available for purchase now, starting at $19.99 on select nights. For more details, visit New Orleans Nightmare’s official website. It’s important to note that this event may be too intense for children under 12. New Orleans Nightmare is at 319 Butterworth St., Jefferson, LA.
