Condé Nast Traveler released its annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey on the friendliest–and least friendly–cities in the world earlier this week. Coming in at #19 was our hometown of New Orleans, a city that is often described as warm in both the literal and figurative senses of the word.
The Big Easy was beaten out by eight American towns–Charleston, SC (#1), Park City, UT (#5), Savannah, GA (#7), Nashville, TN (#10), Austin, TX (#12), Santa Fe, NM (#13), Asheville, NC (#14), Jackson, WY (#18). Those happen to be the same eight cities were ahead of us on last year’s list, proving that Condé Nast Traveler readers are nothing if not consistent.
