Who: Brassft Punk CD-release party featuring the Madd Wikkid
Where: Preservation Hall (map)
When: 12:00 a.m.
Why: Producer and Preservation Hall recording engineer Earl Scioneaux III turned to his alter ego the Madd Wikkid to conjure up Brassft Punk, a brassy tribute to electronic music superheroes Daft Punk that doubled its $10,000 Kickstarter goal. Saturday night, he brings his vision to life and pulls out all the stops at the city’s most sacred music venue.
