Today (May 15), members of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra (NOJO) will put on a special performance in honor of healthcare workers and patients at New Orleans East Hospital’s COVID-19 unit.

“Stimulus Serenade” features the NOJO 9—comprised of Adonis Rose, Ricardo Pascal, Ricio Fruge, Gerald Watkins Jr., Steve Glenn, Alexey Marti, Terrance Taplin, Kevin Louis and Chris Butcher —and will include spirit-raising music in the tradition of New Orleans brass bands.The special performance was produced by jazz fans in upstate New York, who donated stimulus checks towards paying the musicians.
