The New Orleans Jazz Museum has announced the 6th Annual Improvisations Gala, featuring the Jason Neville Funky Soul Band and special guest George Clinton, on December 2.
The fundraising gala is known for its mix of local and national musical talents, New Orleans cuisine and craft cocktails, “Sound Collage” lighting displays, exhibits, and jazz-related arts installations. Past performers include Irma Thomas, Trombone Shorty, Trumpet Mafia and many more local New Orleans legends.
Tickets for the event are $300 for the Patron Party and $150 for General Admission. Patrons will have access to a private pre-party with hors d’oeuvres, featured servings by New Orleans restaurants, bar offerings and a VIP Backstage Experience throughout the evening.
New Orleans Jazz Museum Executive Director Greg Lambousy says that “dynamic talents like Jason and Lirette Neville and George Clinton will set the stage for an ‘out of this world’ experience.” The theme for the gala is indeed “Out of this World,” and the entire entertainment lineup will be announced on the museum’s website in the coming months.
Proceeds from the Improvisations Gala will support the Jazz Museum’s Education Center and related programming, benefiting the museum, musicians, students, and educators. For more information, be sure to keep an eye on our website for updates as they become available.
