New Orleans Jazz Fest Announces “Locals Day” Presale Opportunity for Louisiana Residents

The New Orleans Jazz Fest has announced a presale opportunity for Louisiana residents to purchase tickets for Thursday, May 4, known as “Locals Day,” to festival fans. The presale tickets will be available through the Jazz Fest website or app for $50, with no additional fees, and there is a two-ticket limit per person.

The presale will begin at noon on Tuesday, May 2, and end at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3. Only credit card patrons with a Louisiana billing zip code will be eligible for the presale opportunity, and presale tickets will be mobile-only, non-printable, and non-transferable. Patrons purchasing two tickets must enter the Fair Grounds with their guest.

In previous years, Locals Thursday tickets were only available at the gates, but with the new presale opportunity, Louisiana residents can secure their tickets in advance. However, Locals Thursday tickets will still be available at the gates on the event day.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, presented by Shell, continues this weekend, May 4 through 7, at the Fair Grounds Race Course. After a solid first weekend, the festival will return and feature a diverse lineup of artists from various genres, including jazz, blues, gospel, R&B, and more.

For more information about the presale opportunity and the festival, visit their website or download the Jazz Fest app.
