The New Orleans International Beer Festival will not take place this weekend due to impending severe weather. A post on the event’s Facebook page reads:
Due to the thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in the New Orleans area today and forecasted for tomorrow, the Abita Brewing CompanyNew Orleans International Beer Festival scheduled for tomorrow, March 19th at Champions Square has been postponed until Saturday, June 4th. All current ticket holders should hold on to their tickets which will be honored on June 4th. See you in June!
As noted above, the festival was slated to take place at Champions Square in New Orleans tomorrow, March 19, but has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 4.
Tickets for the event are still on sale. Admission to Beer Fest will include unlimited two-ounce samplings of over 150 different beers, along with a commemorative sampling mug. There will also be a silent disco, a beer mixology garden with craft beer cocktails, plenty of food, a cornhole tournament and live music from Will Vance & The Kinfolk.
