Louisiana music is traveling to Manchester, TN this summer to show off the skill, energy and soul of the south at the four-day festival, Bonnaroo. The festival will take place from Thursday, June 13 to Sunday, June 16 and will feature local Louisiana artists from various genres along with artists from across the world.
Louisiana artists Malik Ninety Five, The Soul Rebels, New Breed Brass Band, Neno Calvin and JZZLE will perform throughout the four-day fest, each showing a different part of New Orleans roots in their music. These artists will rep their hometown hard and play everything from funky soul to bounce and rap.
Bayou Libre, curated by New Orleans’ FREEWATER, is bringing an interactive experience to the festival that features the feels of the Louisiana bayou and is a place for people to relax during the day and party late into the night. FREEWATER will be bringing musical acts and special guests from New Orleans along with some secret performances from the Bonnaroo lineup.
For even more of a New Orleans touch, Snake & Jake’s will be serve Christmas-themed merriment throughout the festival, complete with Christmas lights, ornate holiday decor, and a naughty or nice list.
To headline the unique festival this year, big name artists such as Childish Gambino, BROCKHAMPTON, Post Malone, Cardi B and Odesza will perform. The Lumineers will take the stage on Sunday, while 3 time Grammy-winner and singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile will perform that same day. Phish, the American rock band with talents known for blending all genres, will perform twice- first on Friday and second on Sunday.
With activities such as parades to follow, Yoga-Roo to focus and center yourself, the Oasis at the Bacardi Bay to lay on the beach, or the festival’s safe haven for children -Kidz Jam- Bonnaroo goes above and beyond a typical music festival experience.
