This Sunday, June 23, Give It Hell Promotions will host its 2nd Annual NOLA Networking Summit. The free event aims to provide local music industry professionals a place to establish long-standing business relationships.

“The networking summit encourages face-to-face interactions among musicians and other entities involved in the local music scene,” says Give It Hell Promotions co-founder Daniel Merry (who is also an on-air personality for ALT 92.3FM). He encourages folks to bring business cards, flyers, portfolios, merchandise for giveaways “and anything else you can think of that may help you market yourself and get your name out there!”

The networking summit is based on the idea that social media is a tool, but not the only way to build professional relationships in the digital age. “Gaining connections through social interaction should be in the forefront,” Merry says.
