This year’s Jazz Fest lineup remains unusually in flux. First Eddie Vedder pulled, replaced by an acoustic Jimmy Buffett show with Mac McAnally. Now Bunny Wailer and Levon Helm have withdrawn from the festival as well, and they’ll be replaced by Ziggy Marley on Friday, May 4 and the Warren Haynes Band on Saturday, May 5.
No official word accompanied the reason for the changes, but Helm recently had to postpone a show in New Jersey as well. He has been dealing with a slipped disc, which has left him without the mobility or endurance to play a full set behind the drums. Wailer cancelled an appearance in Jamaica in February, but no reason was given for that cancellation at the time. He did back out of a show for health reasons late in 2011.
