Indie/alternative mainstays Modest Mouse have added a show at New Orleans’ Civic Theatre to their touring schedule. The group will swing through on Monday, September 11.
Known for beloved indie rock albums like 1997’s The Lonesome Crowded West and 2000’s The Moon and Antarctica, Modest Mouse last performed in New Orleans when they appeared at the 2015 Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. At the time, the group was touring in support of their sixth studio album, Strangers to Ourselves, which marked their first album in eight years. While the band won’t be on the road in support of any particular release during the upcoming outing, frontman Isaac Brock has said that a follow up to the record is in the works.
Pre-sale tickets for Modest Mouse’s New Orleans show will go on sale this Wednesday, July 19. Tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, July 21.
