On Thursday, November 15, Metairie Road District will host an outdoor music night, the first event there of its kind.

In partnership with Old Metairie Garden Club, the night of music represents a new branding for Metairie Road District and the debut of its new logo. According to a press release, the event “will mark the beginning of many branded efforts to create a sense of cohesive community along Metairie Road.”

Jefferson Parish Councilwoman Jennifer Van Vrancken will be in attendance, and plans to host a series of similar events along with the Garden Club. 

November 15’s event takes place in Bayou Metairie Park (2713 Metairie Road), where “Band of Gold,” a local group starring dynamic female lead singer Kate Abreo who has years of experience, will perform. 

The festivities are free and open to the public, and kick off at 6 p.m.
