Experimental jazz-funk masters Medeski Martin & Wood will head to New Orleans’ Civic Theatre for a Jazz Fest after show on Thursday, May 4. The trip will be joined by Wilco guitarist Nels

The trio will be joined by Wilco guitarist Nels Cline, a frequent collaborator with his own sterling reputation in the avant-garde jazz scene. Cline teamed up with MMW for Woodstock Sessions Vol. 2, an album that was recorded live at Woodstock, NY’s Applehead Studios in 2014.

Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, December 16 at 10am.

Medeski, Martin & Wood are the latest group to announce a post-Jazz Fest concert. Plenty of late night gigs have already been confirmed, including shows from Ben HArper & The Innocent Criminals, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Dead Feat.
