Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd will swing through New Orleans on August 5 when they perform at Champions Square. The tour will mark the latest co-bill from the two acts, who have been hitting the road together since the 1970s.
Both Frampton and Skynyrd tend to keep their setlists centered around the hits these days, though Frampton recently dove into acoustic versions of his most cherished tunes for the 2016 release Acoustic Classics.
Of the original members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, only guitarist Gary Rossington still tours with the band. However, the current lineup features lead singer Johnny Van Zant–the younger brother of original lead vocalist Ronnie Van Zant–who has been with the band since they reformed in 1987.
Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, May 20 via Ticketmaster.
