New Orleans singer-songwriter Lynn Drury has been holding steady in the AMA Americana Country Charts for 12 weeks running with her new album, Dancin’ In The Kitchen. The album also landed for two weeks on the Roots Music Report in the top 50.
Dancin’ in the Kitchen is being played at 103 college and community radio stations, and some AAA stations in the U.S. have the recording in rotation—with 20 stations playing it in medium or heavy rotation. The album was recently released on vinyl and Drury and her band will present a vinyl release show at d.b.a. on Monday, April 11, at 9 p.m. and at Chickie Wah Wah on Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m.
Drury has honed her singing and songwriting skills in New Orleans for more than twenty years. Born in Mississippi, she’s got one foot firmly planted in her country roots and the other ducking into dive bars and clubs across her adopted hometown. Drury’s distinct dreamy voice has been heard across the country and in Europe. She calls her music “Nolamericana,” and there’s a little bit of something for everyone in her catchy tunes.
