The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), which unveiled its roster additions last month, has recently revealed a lineup of performances to be added to the LPO’s 2023-24 season. The upcoming season will include Hollywood favorites, a chamber music series, and a tribute concert celebrating the legendary musical icons, The Beatles.
One of the highlights of the new additions is the “Live with the LPO” series, which promises to bring film scores to life with a live orchestral accompaniment. The series starts with “GET OUT™ In Concert” on Thursday, October 12, at 7:30 PM, followed by a repeat performance on Friday, October 13. Both performances will occur at the Orpheum Theatre, 129 Roosevelt Way in New Orleans.
Next on the roster is “Jurassic Park™ In Concert,” scheduled for Saturday, November 18, at 7:30 PM, and a matinee show on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM. The Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts (1419 Basin Street, New Orleans) will host these performances.
Rounding off the lineup is “Black Panther™ In Concert,” which will kick off on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 7:30 PM, with a repeat performance on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 7:30 PM. Once again, the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts will be the venue for this show.
Tickets for the upcoming series packages are already on sale, with individual concert tickets starting at $25. Single tickets will be available for purchase for those interested beginning Tuesday, August 1, at 10 AM CST.
