The Louisiana Music Factory has become such a fixture on Frenchmen Street that it’s hard to imagine it anywhere else.
But the iconic music store and long-time recipient of the Best of The Beat Award for best record story only moved to its current location on the corner of Decatur and Frenchmen one year ago.
To celebrate the first of many successful years on Frenchmen, the Louisiana Music Factory will host a string of in-store performances this Saturday, February 28.
Best of the Beat award winner John Boutte will kick things off at 1 p.m., followed by the Lost Bayou Ramblers at 2 p.m.
Little Freddie King will take the stage at 3 p.m., the Shotgun Jazz Band will sing into action at 4 p.m., and Eric Lindell will close out the day with a set beginning at 5 p.m.
Lindell and company helped welcome the Louisiana Music Factory to Frenchmen one year ago when they played the grand opening celebration.
So swing by Frenchmen Street this Saturday for a day filled with great live New Orleans music, and browse the aisles of the Louisiana Music factory to get your fill of classic Louisiana music while you’re at it.
