The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation will present the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Concert Series, an event series that celebrates the vibrant music of Louisiana. From June 2 to June 17, the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center, located at 1225 N. Rampart Street, will host the series of concerts every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The concert series will feature talented musicians, each representing the unique Cajun and Zydeco genres. Lost Bayou Ramblers will headline the opening night on June 2. The series lineup will then proceed as follows:
June 2: Lost Bayou Ramblers
June 3: T Broussard featuring Mary Broussard
June 9: Amanda Shaw
June 10: Sunpie & The Louisiana Sunspots
June 16: Keith Frank & The Soileau Zydeco Band
June 17: Balfa Toujours
Seating at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center will be limited. Interested individuals are encouraged to register in advance and purchase tickets which are available now for $10 each courtesy of Eventbrite. All proceeds from the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Concert Series will go directly to supporting the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation which works to promote, preserve, perpetuate, and encourage the music, culture, and heritage of communities in Louisiana through festivals, programs, and other cultural, educational, civic, and economic activities.
For those unable to attend in person, the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Concert Series will be live-streamed on the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s website.
