Louisiana artists rack up Grammy nominations

It’s that time of year again: various Louisiana artists have been recognized by the Recording Academy for Grammy nominations. The 64th annual Grammy Awards nominees include Jon Batiste (who leads all nominees with 11), Sean Ardoin, Cha Wa, and moreThe Recording Academy announced “The Grammy Awards have launched a different procedure for selecting their nominees this year — going with a popular vote and eliminating the controversial ‘secret committees’ that had curated the final lists in recent decades — and although many of the top nominees were expected, the top one definitely was not.”

The Recording Academy will present the 2022 Grammy Awards on Sunday, April 3, live from Las Vegas on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on demand on Paramount+ from 7–10:30 p.m. CT . Prior to the telecast, the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will be held at the Microsoft Theater at 2:30 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on grammy.com and the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel.
