On Friday, April 20, Lost Bayou Ramblers will perform at Tipitina’s. Not only did the Lafayette outfit take home Best of the Beat Awards for Best Cajun Artist and Best Cajun Album, but Lost Bayou Ramblers are also now Grammy certified. In late January, their latest album, Kalenda, took home top prize in the Best Regional Roots Music Album, a category in which Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers (for Top of the Mountain) were also nominated.

After a whirlwind beginning to 2018, the Ramblers are heading back to New Orleans for a show at Tipitina’s on Friday, April 20. This is a big deal, considering the band said in January they would take an indefinite hiatus.

Also on the bill are Lady Red and Best of the Beat nominees (for Best Cover Band) Jamaican Me Breakfast Club.
