Calling all Beyonce fans and Super Bowl halftime enthusiasts: Area residents are needed at the center of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome come Sunday, February 3, 2013.
Five hundred local men and women are needed to be part of the stage crew that will help run the stage onto the field and perform other duties during the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show featuring Ms. B.
No prior experience is required, but volunteers must attend all posted rehearsals and be over the age of 18. Interested volunteers may log on to www.superbowlproductions.com for more information and to register and view the rehearsal schedule (which starts Sunday, January 6).
As a volunteer, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the event, which you may or may not be aware is annually the nation’s most-watched TV program (112.5 million viewers in the States last year, for the number crunchers). And, of course, the game and halftime show will be broadcast worldwide.
A note, though: Volunteers will not receive tickets to the game, but you can be assured you’ll “be an integral part of the show” and likely have a few good stories to tell your friends.
Good luck, sports fans.
