Tales of the Cocktail, one of the world’s most renowned “spiritual gatherings” for liquor lovers and those in the liquor business, returned to New Orleans yesterday to kick off five days of cocktail tastings, seminars, and other events geared at cocktail lovers and spirits industry workers.
The international festival was founded in 2002 by Ann Tuennerman as a small event and has grown immensely since, providing one of the principal locales for people in the industry to network and exchange ideas.
OffBeat has gotten into the spirit with “The New Orleans Wine Business Is Booming,” a feature by Elsa Hahne.
Produced by the New Orleans Culinary & Cultural Preservation Society (NOCCPS), Tales of the Cocktail centers around the historic Hotel Monteleone but hosts events in and around the city.
