Lil Wayne was scheduled to be sentenced yesterday on gun possession charges in New York City, but for the second time, his sentencing was delayed. In early February, he was scheduled for sentencing but it was postponed because he needed dental surgery. Yesterday, there was a fire in the basement of the New York City court building where the sentencing was to take place, forcing yet another delay.
Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon and is expected to be sentenced to one year in New York’s city jail when the hearing finally takes place.
In other Lil Wayne news, his Twitter account has more than 240,000 followers, and he spends much of his pre-prison time tweeting his insights into love. “Welkome to my department store of love,” he tweets, “where 1 size fits all.”
