Live For Live Music, a music media/marketing/production company, lands in New Orleans on March 7, 2015, with a launch party at the Howlin’ Wolf.
The bash will feature a funk super jam of mostly-local all-stars: Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Nicholas Payton, Gramatik guitarist Andrew Block, legendary New Orleans drummer Johnny Vidacovich, Big Sam’s Funky Nation bassist Eric Vogel, and soul singer Adryon de León (of gritty Los Angeles-based funk band Orgone.)
The evening will kick off at 9 p.m. with sets by Sexual Thunder and CakeWalk, two young groups who deliver high-voltage funk/R&B/pop.
Tickets cost $10 and, when purchased in advance, include free beer and $2 well liquor from 8-9 p.m.
You can purchase them here.
$20 VIP tickets are now available through Beverly Brown at (334) 324-6795. Proceeds benefit The Literate Earth Project, a non-profit organization that builds libraries and literacy programs in developing countries.
VIP ticket holders will enjoy a handcrafted cocktail and an exclusive mini-set by Tulane singer/songwriter Katie Pearlman, who makes her New Orleans debut just before Sexual Thunder.
