The second annual Krampus Gras celebration will take place on December 5 at Siberia at 10 p.m.
A wide away of performers will provide the night’s entertainment, and all proceeds will benefit the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Fund.
MC Matt Thomas will start off the night of sensuous sideshow freakery with the help of Lydia Treats and Mistress Kali.
Travis T Shuler and Elizabeth Christiansen will then revive their beloved Action Action Reaction throwdown while tasty treats are served by Reby Rae alongside Slavic soul food by Kukhanya. Musical guests include Alexandra Scott and Bones.
Audience members are encouraged to participate by competing in the costume contest, getting spanked by the resident Krampus, or jumping into the onsite photo booth.
Krampusnacht, or the night of Krampus, is traditionally celebrated on the eve of St. Nicholas’ Day.
In Australia and Europe, partygoers masquerade as devils, witches, or wildmen and parade through the streets, terrifying the populace.
Though Krampusnacht has been celebrated for centuries in other countries, it’s just starting to be recognised and celebrated in the United States.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
