The Knux—Kentrell “Krispy” Lindsey and Alvin “Al” Lindsey—were chased out of New Orleans East by Katrina and ended up in Los Angeles, where they honed their hip-hop chops while moving in a more electronic, club-friendly direction for their Interscope debut, Remind Me in 3 Days …. They’ve just released a new track, “She’s So Up,” that shows them exploring a new rock/hip-hop combo, something closer to pop than the metal that hip-hop was welded to in the late 1990s.
