This Thursday, February 7, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art will host its annual King Cake Walk during the Museum’s weekly concert series, Ogden After Hours.
Bittersweet Confections, Breads on Oak, Cavan, Emeril’s, La Boulangerie, Manny Randazzo King Cakes, Sweet Life Bakery, Tartine New Orleans, The Station Coffee Shop and Bakery and more will serve up king cake to visitors while live music is performed by the Christian Winther Quartet. The Quartet is led by Danish-American tenor saxophonist and composer, Christian Winther.
Running from 6 to 8 p.m., the King Cake Walk includes awards given to the bakeries, with guests voting on categories like Audience’s Choice, Band’s Pick and Best in Show. WGNO’s Kayla Bertucci will be the guest judge.
In addition to bragging rights, each winning bakery will receive 10 Museum passes to share with their staff.
