From July 21 through July 28, a week of programming centered on the piano will mark the return of the annual New Orleans Keyboard Festival.
Featuring performances from guest artists and former medalists of the New Orleans International Piano Competition, the Keyboard Festival runs in conjunction with the New Orleans Piano Institute. Also included in the week’s programming are master classes, solo and concerto competitions, and performances from New Orleans Piano Institute students.
According to its website, the New Orleans Piano Institute (NOIPC) is “an intensive solo performance program for advanced and intermediate college, high school, and junior high school pianists.”
The guest artists for this year’s festival are 2018 NOIPC Gold Medalist Ziang Xu and 2012 NOIPC Silver Medalist Sejoon Park. Xu will perform Friday, July 26 at Loyola University’s Roussel Hall. On Sunday, July 28, Park will perform in the same venue.
