Kermit Ruffins and Maroon 5 keyboardist PJ Morton are among the artists that will perform at the inaugural Hope for 2Morrow Gala on Saturday, June 11 at the People’s Jazz Market. The event–a masked gala–will benefit Blessed 26, a local mentoring organization that works to creative opportunity for local youth.
The gala will also feature appearances by All Pro NFL safety Tyrann Mathieu, New Orleans’ first African-Amercan TV reporter Bill Rouselle, Attorney Chip Forstall Jr. and artist/activist Brandon “Bmike” Odoms, who will highlight their compelling stories in an effort to engage the community.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and performance by R&B singer Kim Delagrge Jr., along with a silent auction. The opening will be followed by the main event, which includes sets from Ruffins, Morton, Kevin Stylez and T-Ray the Violinist. It will be hosted by Fox Sports’ Jennifer Hale, WWL-TV’s Tamica Lee and WDSU anchor/actor Charles Divens.
Tickets for the fudnraiser are now on sale.
