Wednesday at the Square, presented by the Young Leadership Council, announced its lineup for the two-month long music party that will take place in the heart of New Orleans’ business district. Wednesday at the Square is a ten-concert series beginning March 20 and continuing every Wednesday until May 22. The concerts will take place at Lafayette Square from 5 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at the Square is free to the public and proceeds from food and drinks sales directly support the Young Leadership Council’s community service projects. These service projects are made to improve the quality of life in New Orleans area and to foster leadership skills in young professionals. Stephanie Powell, executive director of Young Leadership Council, explained how important this event is to the New Orleans area. “Many don’t realize that YLC Wednesday at the Square is truly a party with a purpose; proceeds are invested back into the community through YLC’s ten service projects,” she said.
The lineup for this years musical event represents New Orleans’ music history in the best way possible. From Irma Thomas to Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Wednesday at the Square will provide a high-energy environment for all viewers.

May 1: Deacon John with Trumpet Mafia
May 8: Cyril Neville’s Swampfunk with Miss Mojo
May 15: Kristin Diable & The City with The Quickening
May 22: Mia Borders and co-headliner Billy Iuso
