The Wednesday at the Square concert series continued yesterday, April 13, with performances from trumpeter and singer Kermit Ruffins and opening band, roots rockers COOT. Included in Ruffins’ set were KR-staples “I Like Reefer…You Like Reefer…”, “Who Could Ask for Anything”, “More Today than Yesterday”, “Bye Bye Blackbird” and encore song “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas. Next week’s Wednesday at the Square concert features a double bill of OffBeat Best of the Beat Roots Rock Award winners, with Anders Osborne and opener Honey Island Swamp Band, who won this year’s Best Roots Rock Album and Artist awards, respectively.
