Kendrick Lamar will bring his Kunta’s Groove Sessions tour to New Orleans’ Civic Theater on Wednesday, October 28.

The outing finds the superstar rapper performing in intimate venues in select cities across the country while backed by his band The Wesley Theory. Special guest Jay Rock will also open the shows.

New Orleans is one of only a few cities that will host a Kunta’s Groove Sessions performance. Other towns on the itinerary include New York City, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Oakland, Dallas, Washington, DC, Chicago, Atlanta and Cleveland.

Lamar last performed in New Orleans earlier this year, when he closed out the Essence Festival at the Mercedes Benz Superdome.

Tickets for the Kunta’s Groove Session show at the Civic Theater will go on sale this Friday, October 23 at 10am. Tickets will be available via artist pre-sale at 10am on Thursday, October 22.
