Jon Batiste Announces New Album “World Music Radio”

New Orleans’ multi-GRAMMY  and Oscar winner Jon Batiste, known for his musical talent and captivating performances, has unveiled his forthcoming album, World Music Radio. Set to release on August 18, the album aims to merge hard-hitting pop songs with a blend of international sounds. Batiste, a firm believer that all music is essentially world music, seeks to create a sense of global unity through his latest musical endeavor.

The announcement of World Music Radio comes on the heels of Batiste’s groundbreaking success with his previous album, WE ARE, which dominated the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards, securing five prestigious awards, including Best Album. With an impressive career spanning fourteen nominations across seven categories, Batiste has proven his ability to transcend genres and leave his mark on the music industry.

Reflecting on the creation of World Music Radio, Jon Batiste shares, “I created this album with a feeling of liberation in my life and a renewed sense of exploration of my personhood, my craft, and of the world around me, unlike anything I had ever felt before.”
