Molly’s at the Market has announced the return of Jim Monaghan’s Halloween Parade on Friday, October 31, at 6 p.m.
Since its establishment in 1995, this parade has come to be a cornerstone of the holiday New Orleanians consider to be “Mardi Gras for the locals.”
Expect horsedrawn carriages carrying costumed riders who’ll toss Halloween-themed throws while riding through the French Quarter.
The parade will be accompanied by local marching organizations and bands such as The Storyville Stompers,The Kazoozie Floozies, The Bearded Oysters, and The Muff-a-lottas.
The parade will begin at Molly’s at the Market at 1107 Decatur Street and proceed through the French Quarter to The Erin Rose at 811 Conti Street via Decatur, Bienville and Burgundy Streets.
The parade will then pause for 30 minutes at The Erin Rose to refill drinks and conduct a costume contest.
After, the parade will process down Bourbon Street and end back at Molly’s at the Market.
