People United for Armstrong Park has released the official lineup for the Jazz in the Park’s seventh season, which runs from April 16 through June 11.
Kermit Ruffins, Soul Rebels, Honey Island Swamp Band, Raw Oyster Cult, James Andrews, The Honorable South, Glen David Andrews and New Breed Brass Band, will all perform in historic Armstrong Park.
In addition to the great music, a new feature called the Treme Art Exhibit will highlight the lives of ordinary and extraordinary Treme residents through the works of 23 local artists.
Here’s the full schedule for Jazz in the Park 2015:
April 16: The Revealers, The Honey Island Swamp Band
April 23: Kermit Ruffins, The Soul Rebels
April 30: N’awlins Johnnys, Rockin Dopsie
May 7: Tank and the Bangas, Preservation Hall Brass Band
May 14: The Honorable South, James Andrews
May 21: New Breed Brass Band, Glen David Andrews
May 28: Batiste & Sons, Tribute to Wild Magnolias featuring Monk Boudreaux
June 11: Darcy Malone & the Tangle, Raw Oyster Cult
All performances begin at 4 p.m. and last until 8 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public.
