Jamie Neumann is an actor, dancer, singer, writer and producer whose name has been added to the cast of the critically acclaimed HBO television series, The Deuce. She performs alongside James Franco, Maggie Gyllenhaal and other celebrated stars on the latest series from creators of The Wire and Treme.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Neumann studied dance Giacobbe Academy of Dance and with the Delta Festival Ballet, where her mother JoAnn is a long-time board member. Neumann also studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and T. Schreiber Studio in New York City and has appeared in a music videos, plays and more. She has written and/or starred in a number of short films, including Stranger (wrote, starred in and screening at the 2017 New Orleans Film Festival), Tourist (Screening at the 2017 New Orleans Film Festival), Unexpected Company, The Melancholy Man, 2b or Not 2b, Seeking, These Wild Things (wrote, starred in and screening at the 2017 Bushwick Film Festival), Arrow of Light, Sunday Water, and Miss D. Neumann’s theater credits include Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Incendiary Agents, Sister Cities (NY Premiere), Fifth of July, Savage International (NYC Fringe Festival), Revolution on the Roof (NYC Fringe Festival), Pogo and Evie (NYC Fringe Festival) You Can’t Take it With You and A Taste of Honey. She is currently a member of the High & Mighty Brass Band, for which she dances, plays percussion and sings.
Next year, Neumann will star in the highly anticipated Hulu drama series, The Looming Tower alongside Jeff Daniels. The series is based on Lawrence Wright’s Pulitzer Prize-winning 9/11 exposé by the same name.
