The Jamal Batiste Band will perform live from the House of Blues stage Wednesday, Novenber 11 at 7 p.m. The event will be livestreamed via Facebook.

Like many musicians in New Orleans, Jamal Batiste comes from a musical family. Musicians in the Batiste clan include his father, David, a music teacher and leader of the Gladiators; older brother Russell, an acclaimed drummer; and cousin Jon Batiste, leader of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert band.

The Jamal Batiste Band are a renowned crew of music masters playing percussion-charged rock, funk, soul, gospel, hip hop and RnB around the world. They have performed across North America, as well as in the Caribbean, South Africa, Morocco, Japan, Ireland, Scotland, France, and England. The Jamal Batiste Band have also performed at NAMM  and with Grammy Award-winning musicians such as Leo Nocentelli, Art Neville and George Porter (the Meters), and more.
