After shooting a second line in the Marigny on May 12, I thought I’d check the last day of Bayou Boogaloo and see who I could catch. I wasn’t really worried about shooting any pics but then of course, my camera was already with me.  As I started looking at the big schedule hanging by the sidewalk at the entrance, I heard some killer blues and people going wild from my right! At that point I didn’t need to check the line-up anymore, THAT was the stage I wanted to go to!  Needless to say, Ironing Board Sam was great!

I think this is a great photo because it shows with his posture, eccentric gold suit, and smile  – how unique he is, and yet, how he can connect with everyone.
