Iron & Wine will perform at the Joy Theater in New Orleans on Saturday, November 4.
While the name may sound like it belongs to a band, Iron & Wine is the moniker adopted by singer-songwriter Sam Beam. His upcoming tour will be in support of a new album—titled Beast Epic—that is due out on August 25 via Sub Pop. The record’s first single, “Call It Dreaming,” was unveiled today.
Beast Epic will mark Iron & Wine’s first Sub Pop release since 2007’s The Shepherd’s Dog and his first full-length solo album since 2013’s Ghost on Ghost. His last two records were collaborative efforts that found him teaming up with Jesca Hoop (2016’s Love Letter for Fire) and Band of Horses frontman Ben Bridwell (2015’s Sing Into My Mouth).
Tickets for Iron & Wine’s show at the Joy Theater will go on sale on June 15.
