Inaugural Brass Band Throw Down Set for Fair Grounds Race Track

The Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots will host its first-ever Brass Band Throw Down on Saturday, June 18. The party will feature music from the Treme Brass Band, Soul Rebels, Pocket Aces Brass Band and DJ Quinn.

Brass Band Throw Down will take place 7pm to 11pm at the track’s 4th floor club house, which features a scenic view of downtown New Orleans.

“Brass Bands are a mainstay of the rich musical history in the New Orleans culture,” Track President, Tim Bryan, said in a press release. “We look forward to hosting some of the best bands the city has to offer at one of the city’s truly historic and traditional gathering places.”

Tickets will be $15 on the night of the show, and fans must be 21 or older to attend.
