On Saturday, April 7, the New Orleans Ballet Association will feature the mesmerizing work of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, an organization with 40 years of repertoire behind it. Frequently called a “driving force of American contemporary dance,” the troupe will perform at 8 p.m. at the Mahalia Jackson Theater.
As a toast to its four decades of work, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago will electrify the stage with a special anniversary performance highlighting some of its signature work over the years. Resident choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo will showcase his latest work and attendees can also expect to see everything from the poetic to the jazzy along the way. Also on the bill is choreography produced by founding Artistic Director Lou Conte.
Single tickets range in price from $25 to $130 and are available directly through NOBA here.
