Hogs for the Causes has unveiled the schedule for this year’s festivities. Chris Robinson Brotherhood will headline the party on Friday, March 31, while Railroad Earth is set to close things out on Saturday, April 1.

For its ninth annual incarnation, the music festival/barbecue competition/charity fundraiser will move to a new location on the fields adjacent to the UNO Lakefront Arena. Other acts on the bill include Shovels & Ropes, The London Souls, Fruit Bats, George Porter Jr. and Runnin’ Pardners, Seratones, Futurebirds, Marcus King Band. Naughty Professor, Good Enough for Good Times and many more.

As previously reported, Hogs for the Cause has expanded its operation from two to three stages. The move allows the event to offer additional music, but also creates more potential for overlapping sets.

Last year’s Hogs for the Cause showcased sets from Greensky Bluegrass, Deer Tick, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Sweet Crude, Kristin Diable and more to City Park. Shovels & Rope, Dragon Smoke, Twiddle and others were scheduled to perform at the festival, but their set were called off when heavy rains forced the cancellation of Hogs’ Friday festivities.
