The Historic New Orleans Collection will present the 15th annual Bill Russell Lecture Thursday, April 10, at the Williams Research Center, 410 Chartres St., focusing on the lives and career of the Boswell Sisters.
This year’s program, “The Boswell Sisters: Pioneers of American Popular Music,” is presented in conjunction with the exhibition “Shout, Sister, Shout! The Boswell Sisters of New Orleans” and will feature a presentation from Kyla Titus, the granddaughter of the trio’s youngest member Vet Boswell.
The evening will also include a performance of the Boswell Sisters’ repertoire by New Orleans vocal trio the Pfister Sisters.

Reservations will be held 10 minutes prior to the start of the program. At that time, any unclaimed seats will be released to the public.
