The New Orleans Jazz Museum, working with the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, has announced its upcoming celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
From September 15 to October 13, the Jazz Museum will host a series of weekly concerts to pay tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month. The lineup includes diverse talented artists, including Arco Latino, La Tran-K Band, Los Gatos del Norte, Jaleo Flamenco, Oscar Linero and Los Guiros. These musical performances will take place in the museum’s third-floor Performance Center every Friday at 2 p.m., with two special Balcony shows set in the museum’s courtyard on Tuesday, September 19, and Tuesday, October 10, starting at 5 p.m.
Greg Lambousy, the Director of the New Orleans Jazz Museum, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming festivities, stating, “We are so excited to honor Hispanic Heritage Month. Working with the local Latino community has been an important part of the Jazz Museum’s international initiative. We invite you to join us for a full month of amazing music and educational programming celebrating Hispanic art and culture here at the New Orleans Jazz Museum.”
