Vocalist Sasha Masakowski and guitarist Cliff Hines front Hildegard, a forward-thinking band also featuring bassist Max Moran and drummer G Maxwell Zemanovic. Together, they will take to the stage on Wednesday, September 6 at Hi-Ho Lounge. The gig is part of the venue’s weekly Progression Music Series, a free concert event which, as its title suggests, aims to push forward the New Orleans music scene. Hildegard’s genre-defying music combines elements of electronic music, shoegaze, noise rock, r&b, pop, and metal to create a sound that certainly fits the bill.
Joining them will be Keeping, a new indie rock project featuring Greg Rodrigue and Rob Landry of All People and Tyler Scurlock of Sharks’ Teeth, as well as math-rockers Push Push.
Progression Music Series takes place at the Hi-Ho Lounge (2239 St Claude Ave.) and this week’s show will begin at 10p.m. (doors at 9p.m.). The 21+ is free. For more information, check out the Facebook event page.
