Hell’s Gala, is set to return to Mardi Gras World this October with a powerhouse lineup. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the two-night event will feature headlining performances by electronic music heavyweights Chris Lake and Zeds Dead, drawing fans from across the country for a weekend of unmatched music and eerie festivities.
On October 25th, the first night of the Gala, house music fans will be treated to a high-energy set from Chris Lake, the founder of Black Book Records. Lake, who last graced the Hell’s Gala stage in 2018, expressed his excitement about returning to one of his favorite cities. “I love visiting New Orleans, it’s one of my favorite cities to visit, so it’s a treat whenever I have the opportunity to play there. Hell’s Gala is a great show, and I get to be in one of the best cities in North America!” Joining Lake will be rising star Cloonee, whose recent success with the single “Sippin’ Yak” has catapulted him into the mainstream. The night’s lineup is rounded out by Banglaboy, another Black Book Records artist, and Merger, a three-time Hell’s Gala mainstage opener.
The following night, October 26th, will shift the energy to bass music with Zeds Dead, the legendary duo behind Deadbeats, taking the helm. Since their start in 2009, the same year Hell’s Gala began, Zeds Dead has remained at the forefront of the electronic music scene. Supporting them will be Morflo label head Mersiv, known for his deeply immersive sets, and Steller, an emerging force in bass music who has garnered support from major acts like CloZee and Subtronics. Local favorite Bawldy will kick off the evening, adding a hometown touch to the star-studded lineup.
Hell’s Gala has grown immensely since its inception in 2009, evolving from a small Halloween party to a must-attend event on the New Orleans music calendar. “Fifteen years ago, we started Hell’s Gala with no grand vision—just a desire to throw a Halloween party for our friends because there was nothing happening in the city. So, we created Hell’s Gala,” said Ryan Roach, Founder of Encore Entertainment. “Fast forward 15 years, and I’ve had the honor of working alongside my friends and partners while learning from one of the biggest promoters and talent buyers in the country. It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come.”
This year’s theme, ‘Potions & Poisons,’ will be brought to life in the immersive setting of Mardi Gras World, featuring two stages, local food vendors, sponsor activations, costume contests and art installations. VIP ticket holders will enjoy an exclusive experience with access to a haunted mansion and garden area, open bar happy hour, private viewing areas and more.
