Local artist Chris Roberts-Antieau will hold a concert series in her gallery throughout October that will feature weekly performances by cellist Helen Gillet. The concerts will take place every Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the French Quarter gallery.
Recordings from the concert series will be released as part of a Live at Antieau Gallery collaborative vinyl album. Limited edition, custom made Roberts-Antieau fabric jackets will be added to the vinyl packaging and sold exclusively at the gallery.
Gillet was also featured in Roberts-Antieau’s “Phantom Limb” video series. The Michael Lancaster production finds the artist discussing her craft in the gallery, while backed by Gillet’s cello and vocals.
The performances will take place October 7th, October 14th, October 21st and October 28th at the Antieau Gallery at 927 Royal Street. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They are available now via Helen Gillet’s website.
