In a last-minute Facebook post, comedian Hannibal Buress has announced he will be playing a show in Uptown New Orleans on Tuesday, April 5, at the Maple Leaf.
The award-winning comedian made a name for himself as a writer for Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, as a sidekick on The Eric Andre Show, eventually breaking out on the stand-up scene. He also was noticed for his comments about Bill Cosby along the way.
Buress is notoriously fond of New Orleans and has expressed those feelings in several comedy bits. “I’m so glad I don’t live there, ’cause if I did all I’d do is drink gamble and throw parades for myself all the time,” he says in a sketch on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Maple Leaf will open its doors at 6:30 p.m., show will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available on TicketFly.
